Simply Books Book Signing: A Recap
Ten hours ago, we pulled up to the event center where my first big signing was happening. There were about 40 other authors there, of various genres, at this big signing in Utah.
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I’ve only done one other signing before, and while it was fun, it left me with pretty low expectations for all future events.
But I was blown away by today. The turnout was great, and I met so many author friends that I’ve had online that turned into real-life friends. As always, I should have taken more photos than I did, but I will share the ones I got.
I love events like this 1) to meet more readers and 2) because I get to connect with other authors in real life, and I think both those things are so so so special. I’m also elated that there were several readers who were so excited to meet me. I don’t feel like I’m a huge author, but these readers love my books and either brought them for me to sign, or grabbed copies so they could have them on their shelves. It was so fun and cool to meet everyone. I hope to do another event like this (or this one) in the future!
All of the authors in attendance today!
My mom and my sister came with me, and I realized on our drive home that I never got a picture with the three of us together. But it was so great to have them there. It was so much fun meeting everyone.
It’s still surreal to me that people buy my books and love them. I love that I get to write stories that people love and enjoy. I am so so so grateful that I get to do this every day.
